Anchor 1170 curing agent is a liquid, chemically-modified amine complex of boron trifluoride.
It is a Lewis Acid catalyst.
When compared with the well-known solid BF3-monoethylamine complex, all of the products in this series have the advantage of being freely compatible with liquid epoxy resins.
When using Anchor 1170 curing agent, do not employ alkaline fillers, since they will inhibit cure.
*Advantages: Reduced hygroscopicity, Good solubility in liquid epoxy resins
