XiAn LiBang Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. API plant, built in 1996, is located at Liucunbao Industrial Park, Xi`an. occupies 10000 square meters, with workshop area of 400 square meters and clean room area of 240 square meters. The plant is a new industrial complex for large scale manufacturing APIs, which has been inspected successfully by US FDA 2 times and by SFDA 3 times since 1999. In the end of 2002, The plant was rebuilt based on the guideline of International recognized GMP standards, and comprises of 7 synthesis workshops, 8 production workshops, 3 clean workshops and 1 QC lab. The production system contains 51 major equipments, which consist of 7 for communal use, 22 in intermediate production workshops, 8 in clean room. All the equipments are accordant to industrial standard. All facilities of the plant are arranged according to requirements of GMP. Currently, its two products (Metolazone and Droperidol) have been approved and certified by FDA, six DMF have registered with the FDA, and 15 products have been granted GMP Certificate by SFDA. At present, the factory possesses 80 employees, of which 35 hold a bachelor degree, 9 engineers and all have many years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. The highly skillful technical personnel have experience over a wide range of chemical reaction technology, and have good expertise in chiral chemistry.
