Guangzhou Research Institute of Non-ferrous Metals (GRINM) is the biggest advanced materials research & development base in South China. It possesses strong technical strength, complete specialities and all sorts of advanced equipment. It is in the front rank among the science and research institutions of the same kind in China in the light of technological innovation and comprehensive economic results as well as foreign exchange earnings by export. With the backing of GRINM, China Import & Export Commodity Inspection Bureau as well as Laboratory Accredited by China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Laboratory Accreditation Committee established in the Institute. South of China Science and Technology Development Company of Non-ferrous Metals, directly under GRINM, has import-export self-operations right and export quota.
Rare Earth Metallurgy Research Department is an important department of GRINM, and has over 30 years' history in the research, development and production of rare earth materials. It passed the ISO9001 quality system certification, its rare earth products have been put into bulk production in the pilot production lines and sold well both at home and abroad.
