Iran Polymer Institute was established in 1986 in a 22 acres of land, with aim to carry out applied research in polymer science and technology as well as helping local industry in polymeric fields in term of training engineering student at post graduate level and also taking on direct challenge to meet their needs.
IPI with more than 110 highly trained staff at Ph.D. and Master level worked in eight research divisions which includes: Rubber, Plastic, Composite & Paint, Adhesive & Resin, Novel Drug Delivery System, Polymer Science, Special Polymers and Biomaterials.
These divisions are supported by technical and engineering department of the institute for their development projects.
