2,6-di-tert-butyl phenol |
|
It is white or light yellow crystalline solid. Its melting point is 36¡ª39¡æ£¬and its boiling point is 253¡æ at room pressure. Its specific gravity is 0.914£¨25¡æ£©.It is combustible but not flammable easily. It has little odor at room temperature. With the temperature increases, its volatility increases so that it has special odor of alkyl phenol. It can easily dissolve in organic solvents such as alcohols, esters, alkanes and aromatics (e.g. ethanol, butyl acetate, gasoline, toluene, etc.), and is hardly insoluble in water. It has the common characteristics of phenols, i.e., its color gradually darkens when exposed to light, heat and air. |
