Akrochem PEG 3350
Poly(ethylene glycol)
Polyethylene glycol
PEG 3350 is an effective activator employed when compounding with silica fillers.
PEG 3350 overcomes the retarding effect caused by various mineral pigments, improving both cure rate and state of cure.
PEG 3350 also functions as a process aid - lubricant in rubber compounds, which may otherwise be difficult to process.
It is suitable for use in both Natural and Synthetic Rubber applications.
Typical dosages range from 1.5 to 3.0 PHR.
In addition, PEG 3350 can function as a mandrel or mold release for foam and mechanical goods.
Good EPDM process aid. Adds polarity to EPDM compounds to promote microwave curing.
