Agrisol PX401 is a hydrophobic co-solvent for application in the formulation of pesticides.
Agrisol PX401 can be used to advantage in a wide variety of agrochemical applications where it can enhance toxicant solubility and afford improved emulsification by acting as both solvent and penetrant.
Agrisol PX401 can be used alone or in combination with other hydrocarbon solvents to enable increases in toxicant concentration to be achieved.
Agrisol PX401 when incorporated into oil or water based suspension concentrates can also act as flow promoter to facilitate easier processing.
Although Agrisol PX401 has a low water solubility it is easily emulsified into a water phase.
Agrisol PX401 offers additional advantage over many more commonly used solvents and co-solvents utilised in agrochemical formulation such as:
- High flash point
- High boiling point and low volatility
- Low mammalian toxicity
- Low skin irritation properties
