AKROCAL 90 contains a fine particle size calcium oxide dispersed in a paraffinic oil.
AKROCAL 90 is a powder, containing 90% calcium oxide packaged in a ten pound, low melt, polyethylene bag.
AKROCAL 90 is used at levels of 5.0 to 10.0 parts per 100 of rubber.
As a moisture scavenger, AKROCAL provides protection against blistering and porosity.
Add AKROCAL toward the end of a single pass mix or during the second pass.
One variable important in determining the use level of AKROCAL is the time of the year.
Those months which bring high humidity in a plant may require larger amounts of AKROCAL to provide the protection needed to produce acceptable product.
The filler loading and type of filler, as well as the mixing procedure, are also important factors. |
