Accelerator BBTS is a widely used, delayed action accelerator for natural and synthetic rubbers.
It provides excellent scorch safety with fast cure rates and is activated by acidic materials such as stearic acid.
BBTS can be used at reduced levels of about ten percent because of its higher activity as compared to other sulfenamides.
BBTS gives slightly less processing safety than OBTS.
BBTS can be used in conjunction with Cure-Rite 18 to formulate compounds having high modulus and good heat aging.
Accelerator BBTS is also available as Akrosperse TBBS-75/EPR/S-B.
This polymeric masterbatch contains 75% Accelerator BBTS and has a specific gravity of 1.15.
