Great Lakes PHT4 is an off white crystalline powder containing approximately 68% bromine.
Great Lakes PHT4 has primarily been used as a flame retardant in the production if unsaturated polyester resins. Its derivatives have been used as flame retardants in applications as diverse as rigid polyurethane polyols, wire coatings and wool.
The use of proper protective equipment is recommended. Excess exposure to the product should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling. Store the product in a cool, dry, wellventilated area away from incompatible materials. Unless stated, proper storage will permit usage of the product for 6 to 12 months from the date of receipt.
