Usage Myrtle clove Eugenia caryophyllata dry buds.The oil was extracted from the supercritical extraction, which contains eugenol (Eugenol) shall not be less than 70%.

The relative density of the product is 1.0010 ~ 1.0600 (Appendix VIIA).

Check the water soluble phenolic take this product 1ml 20ml of distilled water, heating, vibration, filtration, the filtrate is added with ferric chloride solution 1 drops, but easily disappear grayish green, not blue or purple.
Content determination of precise amount of this product 10ml, the 100ml does not measure aldehyde flask, add 1mol/l potassium hydroxide solution 75ml, 5min, 10min on water bath, heating, cooling, make two liquid separation, adding amount of 1mol/l potassium hydroxide solution, make the oil floating graduated department to the bottleneck, placement of at least 18h, inspection plan degree of oil, such as 1.5ml, which is the product of each 100ml eugenol containing not less than 70ml.
