ALCOGUM L-15 is a reactive, acidic thickening agent of the type commonly referred to as an in-situ thickener.
It is supplied as a stable, milky-white, anionic latex emulsion.
The addition of any of a variety of alkaline agents results in the neutralization of the acidic groups and the formation of a clear, viscous solution.
This solution is an effective thickener for many systems, including various synthetic latexes, latex compounds and latex coatings.
