ALCOGU SL-76 is an alkali activated rheology modifier. ALCOGUM SL-76 is a member of the ALCOGUM SL-Series line of rheology modifiers coverde by U.S. Patents. This polymer is an acrylic associative polymer formulated to fibe structure to filled compounds for use in a wide range of a pplications. ALCOGUM SL-76 is a low viscosity anionic milky white emulsion,as supplied. For neutralization purposes, ALCOGUM SL-76 has an equivalent weight of 20.3(a).
ALCOGUM SL-76 can be utilized by addition into systems before neutralization to pH 8-9. When added to higher pH systems, pre-dilution may allow better mixing. The water solutions of associative acrylic polymers have been shown to undergo an increase in viscosity when used in conjunction with nonionic surfactants.
