MICROCAT-XF is a synergistic blend of preselected, adapted microorganisms and other natural ingredients for use in wastewater treatment plants receiving municipal, pulp and paper, brewery, food processing and related wastes to control sludge bulking in secondary clarifiers caused by filamentous microorganisms.
It is specifically formulated for use in activated sludge plants.
Biological wastewater treating plants receiving municipal and/or pulp and paper, brewery and food processing wastes from time-to-time encounter operating difficulties due to filamentous infestation.
MICROCAT-XF is formulated to reduce filamentous microbe populations, reduce foaming , improve sludge settling and reduce effluent suspended solids.
When used on a preventive maintenance basis, this product can enhance overall system performance while reducing operating costs by eliminating the use of dangerous and expensive chemical agents.
MICROCAT-XF contains a combination of aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms, enzymes and other natural ingredients selected to destabilize filamentous forms, reducing their numbers and improving settling.
It is an excellent substitute for chlorine and chlorine-based chemicals.
By improving settling the use of flocculation aids can also be reduced.
In many cases Nocardia-based "structural" foam can be controlled by the topical application of a suspension of MICROCAT - XF directly on the foam. |
