Alkanox 240-3T is a synergistic blend of the phosphite antioxidant Alkanox 240 and 3% of the thiosynergist distearyl-3,3’-thio-dipropionate (DSTDP).
Alkanox 240-3T, in addition to exhibiting high hydrolysis stability, is particularly active during polymer processing and an excellent stabilizer against thermo-oxidative degradation during long term aging. The presence of a small amount of DSTDP provides an improvement against discoloration of polyolefins (polypropylene, polyethylene) during processing without negative effects on the MFI behavior. The level of DSTDP has no negative effects such as smell, taste or corrosion. Alkanox 240-3T may be used in articles, which may come into contact with foodstuffs according to the regulations of different countries. |
