TBzTD was developed to replace thiurams such as TMTD where the presence of nitrosamines is of concern.
The dibenzylnitrosamine is not carcinogenic according to published literature.
TBzTD is a fast curing primary or secondary accelerator in NR, SBR and NBR applications.
It is safer to process, providing longer scorch times than TMTD.
In the vulcanization of polychloroprene rubber, with N, N'-ethylene thiourea, TBzTD may be used as a retarder. |
