AQUAMET T is a sodium trithiocarbonate solution (Na2CS3) designed for use as an efficient
metal precipitant.
AQUAMET T is intended to complement Alco Chemical's current line of products based on dithiocarbamate chemistry.
AQUAMET T provides more cost effective removal of some selected heavy metals from waste streams when compared to the dithiocarbamates.
AQUAMET T provides an alternative product that is less toxic to aquatic species than some of the
dithiocarbamates.
In addition, the volume and weight of sludge per unit of metal precipitated is substantially less than alternative products including the dithiocarbamates for selected metal types.
This benefit allows for substantial savings in sludge disposal costs.
All of the AQUAMET products are effective in the removal of complexed or chelated metals, and can also be used to recover expensive metals.

such as wastewater, is covered by United States Patent Nos.
