Sil-Co-Sil ground silicas ideal for plastics and rubber, polishes and cleansers, paints, ceramic frits and glazes, fiberglass, precision castings and more.
Ground silicas are inherently inert, white, bright, have low moisture and are at least 99.4% SiO2.
* Thermoset Plastic: In laboratory bench tops, epoxy molding and potting compounds, and in various phenolic and polyester compounds the consistent particle size distribution of SIL-CO-SIL Ground Silica allows for high loadings with minimal viscosity increase.
* Traffic Paint: Silica is an excellent filler for traffic paint because of its natural hardness and chemical resistance. SIL-CO-SIL Ground Silica is specified because of its high brightness and low oil absorption.
* Textile Fiberglass: Silica is a critical raw material in the manufacture of textile fiberglass. The chemical consistency and tight particle size distribution of SIL-CO-SIL Ground Silica makes it an industry standard. |
