WACKER HDK H 18 Fumed Silica is a hydrophobic fumed silica formed by a chemical reaction of hydrophilic WACKER HDK with silicone fluid. Hydrophilic fumed silica is produced by flame hydrolysis of volatile silicon compounds. H 18 is a pure, x-ray amorphous silicon dioxide (SiO2). * Epoxy resins: Especially for solvent-free reaction systems. H 18 can be used to raise the viscosity of systems intended for vertical surfaces so that they do not sag when applied. * Polyurethane systems: Apart from raising the viscosity and thixotropic properties of such systems, H 18 offers a maximum of chemical purity and a minimum of moisture input. * Vinyl Ester Resins: H 18 constitutes a stable, highly efficient rheological additive for such systems. |
