| 2-ethylhexanol ester of highly-refined tall oil fatty acid. This water-white liquid fatty acid with exceptional color stability was specifically designed to be epoxidized for use as a plasticizer in rubber and plastic compounds. It is suggested that ARIZONA 258 be evaluated as a corrosion inhibitor and surface-active agent ingrinding oils, cutting oils, specialty-lubricant additives, and as a dispersant in drilling muds. The solubility characteristic of ARIZONA 258 can be modified by ethoxylation to form a more water-soluble, surface-active agent for use as a component of textile-drawing lubricants, and a de-emulsifier in oil field production chemicals. |
