Conductive Compounds-Modern offers a full line of conductive compounds for molding and extrusion. They can beused to manufacture items which shield against ESD (Electrostatic Discharge). Typically, bags, tote boxes, floor and table mats, and shipping tubes are produced for handling static sensitive electronic hardware.
Conductive compounds exhibit electrical resistivities in the range of 1,000 - 100,000 ohm-cm. Resistivities in this range will drain a static charge in less than 2 seconds, which meets military specification MIL-81705B. Conductive compounds from Modern Dispersions, Inc. are carbon black composites. They are volume conductive and do not depend on humidity conditions. |
