Smokebloc AZ11 contains the properties of antimony trioxide flame retardancy and Ongard 2 smoke suppressancy in a specially formulated synergistic product. Smokebloc AZ11 is designed primarily for critical PVC applications, where excellent flame retardancy and smoke suppressancy are required, in combination with excellent physical properties.
Smokebloc® AZ11 will provide excellent flame retardancy and smoke reduction in both rigid and plasticized PVC. When used as a direct replacement for antimony trioxide it will give significant smoke suppression (up to 40%) while maintaining Limiting Oxygen Index and UL94 flame test results. Smokebloc® AZ11 is very effective in PVC formulations containing high levels of plasticizers where other flame retardant and smoke suppressant systems can fail. Smokebloc® AZ11 is also effective in other polymer systems when used in combination with a halogen.
The use of proper protective equipment is recommended. Excess exposure to the product should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling. Store the product in a cool, dry, wellventilated area away from incompatible materials. Unless stated, proper storage will permit usage of the product for 6 to 12 months from the date of receipt.
