Mixed Metal Synergist
Smokebloc®AZ-75 contains the flame retardant properties of antimony and the smoke suppressant properties of Zinc Borate in a specially formulated synergist product. Smokebloc® AZ-75 is designed for applications, where excellent flame retardancy and smoke reduction are required, in combination with lower costs and excellent physical properties.
Smokebloc® AZ-75 will provide lower costs, excellent flame retardancy and smoke reduction in applications where zinc sensitivity is not a major problem. When used as a direct replacement for antimony trioxide it will give significant smoke suppression while maintaining Limiting Oxygen Index and UL94 flame test results. Smokebloc® AZ-75 is effective in nylon, polyolefins, polyurethane thermoset resins, EDPM themoplastic elastomers and rubbers when used in combination with a halogen source.
The use of proper protective equipment is recommended. Excess exposure to the product should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling. Store the product in a cool, dry, wellventilated area away from incompatible materials. Unless stated, proper storage will permit usage of the product for 6 to 12 months from the date of receipt.
