ALCOGUM L-237 is a member of the ALCOGUM L-200 Series of thickeners. This product group utilizes a proprietary emulsification system which provides excellent mechanical shear and freee-thaw stability to the emulsion. These emulsions have enhanced compatibility characteristics with typical coating raw materials which simplifies addition and mixing techniques.
ALCOGUM L-237 was developed for use in paper coating formulations that require additional water retention without significant increases in low and high shear viscosity for better coater funnability. This product allows the formulator to increase water retention in his formulation and adjust Brookfield and Hercules high shear viscosities to maximize machine efficiency. ALCOGUM L-237 helps control coating placement and the improvement of printing properties. |
