Accelerator TETD |
 |
Akrochem TETD is a very active, sulfur-bearing, non-discoloring rubber accelerator for use in natural and synthetic rubber systems. TETD functions as a primary accelerator for cure systems requiring very low or no sulfur. It is an accelerator for W type neoprenes, but serves as a retarder/cure modifier in G type neoprenes. It is often used in conjunction with thiazole or sulfenamide curing systems. Accelerator TETD contains 10.8% available sulfur. Normally zinc oxide and a fatty acid are required when using TETD in a natural rubber application. Sulfur is not required, but is often used. TETD can be blended with TMTD to reduce the tendency of the compound to bloom while maintaining ure activity. |
