Antioxidant BHT is intended for industrial use and can be used as a stabilizer (antioxidant) in rubbers, elastomers, polymeric materials (polyolefins, polyurethanes, polyvinyls, polyesters), packaging materials, waxes, insecticides, synthetic lubricants, paints, etc. even in presence of trace metals.
Akrochem Antioxidant BHT helps to protect polymers against the effect of heat and oxygen during drying operations, reduces the danger of cyclization during storage and processing and also helps to protect vulcanizates against autoxidation.
It is resistant to hydrolysis.
Akrochem Antioxidant BHT is also effective in plastics such as ABS, EVA, PP, LDPE, HDPE, HDPE, HIPS, Polyamide, Polycarbonate and Polyurethanes.
Akrochem Antioxidant BHT is soluble in most hydrocarbon solvents.
It is insoluble in water, however, it may be easily emulsified. |
