Akrosorb 29126 is a tri-functional methacrylate coagent/monomer absorbed on Microcel E(calcium silicate), which is used in conjunction with peroxides to improve peroxide crosslinking performance.
The free-flowing powder form makes weigh-up and mixing easier than using liquid coagent.
Akrochem Akrosorb 29126 (75% TMPTMA) can be used in all rubber formulations where peroxide is used as the vulcanizing agent.
Using Akrosorb 29126 will provide the following benefits: lower compression set, higher modulus, higher hardness, lower compound viscosity and improved oil, fuel, and chemical resistance.
Dosage range 0.5 to 25 phr. Less peroxide may be used to achieve the same state-of-cure.
The highest levels are used to make easier processing, high durometer (Shore D) stocks.
High dosages may lead to scorchier stock
for these cases use a scorch retarded TMPTMA, Akrosorb 19847 (72% Saret 517). |
