P-03 is a thermoplastic, oil soluble, high melting Terpene Phenolic Resin in flake form.
P-03 is widely used to increase the open time of Neoprene solvent cements. The amounts used will vary from 10 to 150 parts per 100 parts of Neoprene. Although not as heat resistant as P-8, it provides more tack and is often used in combination with a heat reactive resin to give a balance of properties. It will show some reactivity with magnesium oxide but not to the amount experienced with a product such as P-28. |
