| PROAID AC116 |

Akrochem’s Proaid AC-116 is a mixture of primarily calcium salts of higher molecular weight fatty acid soaps designed to act as a unique processing aid for a number of polymers.
Proaid AC-116 improves mold flow and release from all metal surfaces without affecting cured physical properties (slightly activates sulfur cures).
All materials used in the manufacture of Proaid AC-116 have previously been approved for food contact by the FDA (per CFR 21 177.2600).
The dosage for Proaid AC-116 is 1 to 3 phr, depending on the polymer and the process.
Proaid AC-116 may be used:
- Primary Function: To greatly improve EPDM flow characteristics in injection and extrusion equipment.
- In nitriles, to improve release from mills and molds.
Use in combination with Proaid AC-12 for excellent mold-flow in NBR.
- For those attributes normally associated with process aids: reduced viscosity, reduced mold fouling, less sticking to process equipment. |
