This natural, vegetable based benzoate ester offers several advantages over its precursor material castor oil. The addition of the benzoate moiety results in significant improvements in tactile properties, gloss, pigment grind viscosity and particle size reduction.
FINSOLV BCO-115 exhibits a lighter, less tacky feel on the skin, higher gloss and approximately a 40% reduction in pigment grind viscosity than its precursor material. These properties result in make-up preparations which are more elegant feeling, have improved shine and gloss and are easier to manufacture.
FINSOLV BCO-115 is useful in the following areas:
- Lip Products - replacing some or all of the castor oil with FINSOLV BCO-115 will result in a product with improved moisturization, a lighter skin feel and bright, more vibrant colors.
- Pigment Dispersions - when compared to its precursor castor oil, FINSOLV BCO-115 lowers grind viscosities, improves pigment development, reduces settling and improves tint strengths. |
