MASTON MS is a methyl ester of commercial stearic acid.
It's a white solid and upon heating gives an oily, colorless liquid.
It's insoluble in water but soluble in many organic solvents such as alcohols and ethers.
- Metal working Lubricants : Lubricity additive in various oils.
- Cosmetics & textile : Intermediate for the manufacturing of alkanol amides and other fatty acid derivatives.
