Silicone defoamer for aqueous coatings based on PU-dispersions and PU/Acrylic combinations.
The defoamer is very effective during the production and application of aqueous coatings, it does not influence color acceptance and gloss.
Due to its high activity, BYK 019 has to be incorporated under high shear forces to avoid cratering.
The defoamer demonstrates excellent long term stability.
To reduce microfoam, a combination of BYK 019 with BYK 024 in a ratio of 3:2 has shown excellent results.
BYK 019 is also suitable to defoam aqueous pigment concentrates. |
