BYK 022 is used as defoamer in dispersion lacquers and pigmented acrylate/PU-combinations.
The additive is very efficient also against micro foam.
It can be trouble-free incorporated and shows a good long-term stability.
Gloss reduction after storage is not observed.
Normally, the defoamer is added during letdown.
Adding it in two separate phases (2/3 of the defoamer in the mill-base, 1/3 during letdown or in the finished paint) is a procedure often found useful. |
