BENTONE 120 |
organic derivative of a montmorillonite clay |
BENTONE 120 additive is a special organically modified montmorillonite clay designed for nonpolar printing inks based on naphthenic and paraffinic solvents and oils. It will also gel inks containing solvent of intermediate polarity, such as vegetable oil. BENTONE 120 is a very cost effective alternative to traditional organoclays in black news inks. It specifically increases the "Yield Value" of the ink, achieving a very short ink even at low levels of use. BENTONE 120 is designed for black news inks and other inks that are processed in a shot mill or over a three roll mill. |
