*As a lubricant:

*As a heat transfer medium:
- Heat-treating baths for speciality metals.
- Heat exchange fluid for research apparatus and instrument calibration baths.
- Heat transfer oil in capacitors, transformers and various electronics.
*As a thermostat fluid:
