Mackam OSF is a mild amphoteric surfactant with applications in both personal care and industrial cleaners.
Due to its excellent lubricating properties coupled with detergency, it is used a conditioning agent in shampoos.
Its solubility in nonpolar solvents makes it useful as a detergent anhydrous cleaners.
Unlike other amphoteric surfactants, Mackam OSF has no sodium chloride.
It is suggested for systems where chloride would be detrimental to performance or would cause corrosion problems.
Mackam OSF is stable over a broad pH range and is the surfactant of choice for water free systems.
