Biosil Basics Fluoro Guerbet 3.5 is a patented water insoluble, high viscosity emollient ester. It is not alkoxylated and has a total of twenty carbon atoms in the Guerbet portion of the molecue. The 3.5 refers to the amount of fluorol alcohol reacted. Excellent pigment dispersing properties prolducts. Improved barrier function is due to the fluorine moiety, yet the Fluoro-Guerbet does skin feel. It also adds sheen to lipsticks, liquid make-up and pressed powders. An outstanding feature is the ability to formulate truly wet/dry pressed powder cakes. The Fluoro-Guerbet possesses good mold release properties for application in stick products.
