FD-868A is a pulverized, heat-resistant, rubber modified phenolic resin of the novolac type. Specifically developed as a general purpose bond for friction elements, it has excellent hot molding latitude and is utilized in both asbestos and non-asbestos compositions.
FD-868A finds use in disc pads, and other road and off-road friction applications.
The modified resin will provide improved noise characteristics and friction coefficient change at some sacrifice in wear relative to a straight novolac phenolic resin. |
