Benzoyl Chloride |
 |
Benzoyl chloride is a highly reactive acyl halide, Typical reactions undergone by benzoyl chloride are the Schotten-Baumman reaction (the benzoylation of compounds containing an active hydrogen), and the preparation of substituted benzophenones via Friedel-Crafts reactions. Benzoyl chloride is used as an intermediate for the manufacture of resins, peroxides, dyes, pharmaceuticals, perfumes and stabilizers. - Reactive Intermediates |
