KH-845-4 silane equates the products: Si-69 (Degussa), Silquest-1289 (CK Witco, U.S.). The product is especially applied for sulfured rubber system and used in low rolling resistance tire to elongate shelf life and used in heat resisting belt, pipe, shoes, rolling covers & engineering tire etc.
* Application:
a. Coupling agent of non-black filler: A little of KH-845-4 is added into clay filler or silica pigment. KH-845-4 can bond the non-black pigment to man-made rubber well and improve modlus and abrasion.
b. Improving reversionless by equilibrizing cure system:
There are four sulfur atoms in KH-845-4 molecular structure. Under cured temperature, its tetrasulfane-functional crosslink speed is equal to the speed of sulfurate reversion in sulfur cure. Therefore, KH-845-4 can provide reversionless, which is defined as equilibrium cure system.
c. Providing rubber with good thermal ageing as a vuleanizing agent:
KH-845-4 & a certain thiram promoter take place of all sulfur in compound of NR, SBR, NBR.
The production provides better coupling effect as well as superior thermal ageing.
