Lubrajel MG is a proprietary hyydrojel formulation that was developed in the early 1970's as a nondrying, water-soluble lubricant for the medical industry.
Lubrajel MG has been marketed since its development in 1973 as a medical lubricant.
It has been used as a general and instrument lubricant for use during physical exams, and applied to catheters, thermometers and a host of other instruments to aid in use and patient comfort.
Lubrajel MG is bacteriostatic in nature.
For this reason, it has been investigated for use in chronic wound treatment.
Lubrajel MG is usually used at 100% as a medical lubricant and has also been used in wound care.
It may also be used as a vehicle for delivery of active drug ingredients. |
