Lubrajel PF is a sister product to Lubrajel CG and therefore has physical and cosmetic properties similar to Lubrajel CG.
Lubrajel PF is a preservative free version of Lubrajel CG.
This provides the formulator with a variety of options when creating their new products.
The chemists can select their own preservative system or, if formulated appropriately, design preservative free products as well.
Lubrajel PF has been marketed to the cosmetic industry as a moisturizer, a water-soluble emollient, and for rheological modification.
Lubrajel PF has a pH of approximately 5.0, and is ideal for sensitive skin products.
In cosmetics, Lubrajel PF is usually employed at concentrations between 5 and 50% depending on the degree of moisture balancing, rheological considerations and aesthetics desired in the product.
The higher concentrations are necessary in formulas that are designed to be "preservative-ree."
Lubrajel PF is usually added post emulsion formation in creams and lotions.
It is often added before the cooldown of hot emulsions.
It may also be used to stabilize cold manufactured emulsions.
