GELTONE IV, polymer-treated organophilic clay, imparts viscosity, suspension, and filtration control properties to oil-based drilling fluids.
GELTONE IV provides viscosity and suspension properties similar to GELTONE but it has the added advantage of filtration control.
GELTONE IV provides approximately twice the yield point and gel strengths of other commercial oil mud gellants when applied in low aromatic, mineral oil-based invert emulsion drilling fluid.

*Advantages: Effective gellant for mineral and oil-based fluids, Stable at temperatures approaching 400'F(205'C), Effective in small concentrations, Yields with low shear. |
