LIGNOX, a copolymer of calcium lignosulfonate and acrylic acid, is an effective thinner for lime-based drilling fluids.
LIGNOX is the primary component of the POLYNOX lime-based drilling fluid system.
LIGNOX is environmentally acceptable because it does not contain chromium.
*Applications/Functions: Provide control of rheological properties in lime water-based systems, Maintain filtration control in lime-based system, Provide inhibition to reactive clays
*Advantages: Environmentally responsible, Effective in sea water, Unaffected by cement contamination, Does not contain chromium, Has less effect on mud alkalinity than other lignosulfonates. |
