N-DRIL HI, modified cellulosic polymer, provides filtration control in water-based drilling fluids.
Its high molecular weight provides effective filtration control and secondary viscosity in SHEARDRIL-N systems.
Because it is nonionic, N-DRIL HI is not affected by the presence of calcium or magnesium.
It is recommended for use where bottomhole temperatures up to 250'F(121'C) are expected.
*Applications/Functions: Provide filtration control in SHEARDRIL-N water-based systems, Perform in viscous sweeps for horizontal drilling where brines such as sodium chloride or calcium chloride are used, Provide secondary viscosity in SHEARDRIL-N drilling systems
*Advantages: Maintains filtrate control in sea water systems while drilling cement, Requires small concentrations for filtration control, Disperses easily and can be added directly to the active mud system through the mud hopper, Stabilizes in monovalent and divalent brines, Is nonfermenting and does not require a bactericide |
