Bactericides And Fungicides.
In suitable media the bacteria grows logarithmically and reaches millions in numbers in short time, causing big damage on raw skins.
Conservation by pure salt cannot provide total protection in long-time storing.
Bacterial damage, rising temperature, losing hair, putrefication and finally total loss of skins are the expected results.
GEMACIDE SLP has a very effective active substance combination against all kinds of bacteria growing on skins.
Does not contain P.C.P.
It is recommended to add to the conservation salt at the ratio of 1 % of the raw skin weight.
Especially on neutral and alkaline pH ranges it performs excellently.
It is applied on the flesh side of the skin and is very suitable for conservation on mixer type big drums.
There is no problem of using it together with chemicals like boric acid and naphtalene. |
