Phosphite/Thiosynergist Blend
Anox BB Blends is a family of binary synergistic blends used to protect polymers during processing and long term aging.
The combination of a high molecular weight hindered phenol, Anox PP18, and phosphite, Alkanox 240, provides excellent protection in polyolefins. The low volatility of the Anox PP18 and Alkanox 240 allows the BB Blends to be used at relatively high temperatures while providing excellent resistance to extraction from polymer compounds. The blends are active during polymer processing and provide excellent stabilization against thermo-oxidative degradation during long term aging. The BB Blends are used for process stabilization of a wide range of thermoplastic polymers such as polyolefins (HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP), polycarbonates, ABS, and polyesters.

Anox PP18 and Alkanox 240 are allowed by the FDA for use in food packaging applications in accordance with regulations, as printed in Title 21, Section 178.2010 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations.
