IMPERVIOUS TRACK SYSTEM
TRACKFLEX 8885 is a premium grade 100% solids, two component polyurethane used to create an impervious, resilient track system. TRACKFLEX 8885 may be used as a single lift full pour urethane, as a single lift rubber filled polyurethane, or as a layered rubber broadcast track system. It is mixed 1 to 8 by volume.
Surface Preparation: TRACKFLEX 8885 is normally applied over hot mix asphalt or concrete subbase. The surface must be clean, dry and free of contaminants that inhibit adhesion. The surface should be tested for moisture. FUTURA-BOND 629 should be applied at the rate of approximately 0.3 lbs/sq. yd. When the surface is dry to touch, TRACKFLEX 8885 can then be applied.
Application Method: The components are blended in volumetric measurements with an appropriate mixing device. The mixture should be homogenous. The 8885 must have primary and secondary mixing to insure there is no segregation of material. To produce a solid system using a multilayer technique the coating compound is applied by a notched squeegee for the base layer and the layer filled with EPDM or SBR. Subsequent layers are applied by flat squeegees. For the sandwich system, the pores of a previously laid SBR track base systems are closed using FUTURABOND 8920 100% solids, thixotropic urethane pour sealer, the finish surface is TRACKFLEX 8885 applied using a notched squeegee and EPDM cast into the resin prior to curing.
Required Temperature of Application: 50'F (10'C) Clean Up: For best results, use Thinner No. 50. A mixture of Xylol and MEK (50/50) is acceptable. |
