Insulation for use with all types of Roofing Membranes Rmax Multi-Max FA is a rigid, foam plastic, thermal insulation board composed of polyisocyanurate foam bonded to glass fiber/organic mat facers on each side. This roofing insulation is suitable for use in insulated roofing system constructions utilizing built-up roof, modified bitumen or single-ply membranes and metal panel roofing systems. Multi-Max FA is approved for use in new roofing constructions and limited retrofit/recover roofing constructions over steel, wood, non-combustible and certain types of nailable roof decks. Multi-Max FA is available in standard four (4) foot wide panels. Standard panel lengths are four (4) and eight (8) feet. Contact Rmax Sales for availability. Multi-Max FA is shipped in bundles that are approximately 48 inches high and wrapped in plastic for easy handling. Multi-Max FA is applied to the roof deck in order to provide a layer of thermal insulation and a suitable substrate for the application of the many different kinds of roofing membranes available in the market today.Multi-Max FA must be secured to steel or wood decks with FM listed mechanical screw and plate fasteners. Multi-Max FA may be secured to other types of "nailable" decks with suitable mechanical fasteners for that type of ¡°nailable¡± deck. Multi-Max FA may be secured to a concrete deck with suitable mechanical screw and plate fasteners as an alternate method of attachment. Refer to ¡°General Notes for Use and Installation of Rmax Roofing Insulations.¡± Multi-Max FA may be adhered to properly prepared concrete roof decks with hot bitumens or air-cured polyurethane foam adhesives. |
