Powder Nitrile Rubbers are high polar acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymers, cold or hot polymerized, ground and covered by a partitioning agent.
They are employed as PVC modifying agents in thermoplastic compounds, totally or partially replacing monomeric plasticizers.
It is also employed as a substitutive for NBR in bales, in order to increase the productivity, whenever processed in open or closed mixers ("bambury").
Due to its polarity, Powder NBR presents excellent compatibility with flexible PVC compounds.

Due to its polarity, Powder NBR presents excellent compatibility with flexible PVC compounds, widely used in the shoe industry, hoses, profiles, cables and wires, etc.
When used in elastomeric compounds, Powder NBR provide better quality to the blend, due to its physical shape, suppressing the mastication step in both open and closed mixers.
When used in substitution to nitrile rubbers in their traditional bale shape, Powder NBR enhances the productivity up to 50% if compared to traditional NBRs. |
